Results & Recovery
RADIESSE treatment is a simple non-invasive cosmetic procedure. Typically your doctor will apply a topical numbing cream to avoid any discomfort at the injection site. The procedure usually takes anywhere from 10 to 20 minutes, depending upon the extent of the treatment. Your doctor will choose one or more injection points for each area being treated. The RADIESSE cosmetic filler is then injected into the skin, under the epidermis.
Like with any dermal filler you may experience some bruising and swelling at the injection sites, but it is only temporary and should subside within 48 hours. Gentle cold compresses are recommended to help bring down any swelling. While patients will see immediate results, the final product is apparent within one week of the treatment after all traces of potential swelling are gone. Results can last up to two years.
